How much does that suck???

Warning, amazing race spoiler!

I felt so bad for the sisters, they totally deserved to go on. they said Lena worked for 8 hours, and rolled out about 100 (more than a third) of the hay bails, they had such bad luck, I feel so bad for them!)

NSERC Sucks

Second year applied, second year passed over. That with 3 more awards to put on my application, and my 2nd year average replaced with my 4th year average (which was 2% higher). It is kind of depressing, this year they didn't even offer IPS (Industrial NSERC) like they did last year :(.

So I guess my dreams of not being in debt when I finish gradschool are slowly vaporizing away...

Nothing new to report

I had a semi productive - drawn out day yesterday in which I worked only half the time, but put in 12 hours... does that make sense? hopefully today I'll put in a good 10 hours. It is getting down to crunch time and I have to atleast have my slides done for next weeks presentation when my group meets on Thursday - oh yeah, and I volunteered to do the write up for Air sparging and soil vapour extraction too. Why do I do this to myself? so I have a stack of like 200 pages taht I have to read before I can finish my slides. oops! this is the last time I leave something so late, I promise!

Still sitting on the fence concerning what (if anything) I am going to do about the boy, but I don't want to bore everyone with ever thought that runs through my mind. Back to looking for journal articles. I <3 journal articles.

Tommy Douglas!

Won the greatest canadian. Go George S. You are hot :)

Working from home today..

Well, supposedly working. I had to go to health services this morning. Since I had my annual checkup on Friday, I had to go and get the accompaning blood work done this morning. Dr. wanted to test for iron stuff and we decided on cholesterol too, last time they checked was 4.5 years ago and it was great then, but high cholesterol runs in the family, so we both decided it would be for the better if we got it checked out.

So, that meant no eating since 9 last night. for those that know me, they know that I NEED to eat in the morning, so that was a bit of a challenge. Since I was already at health services I figured I would also get my flu shot, forgetting that meant that I would have to stick around for another 15 without food. I ended up leaving there at like 9:40 and stopping at timmies on my way back to my appartment. (First time I have been all term, so I'm pretty proud of myself for that!) I also stopped by needles hall to pay my tuition for next term in hopes that they send me my ogs check before my credit card is due in a week and a half :O. So now, I am back home and I have a fun filled day of visual modflow and journal reading planned, yay! I can hardly contain my excitement.

My weekend went really well, it was one of those great weekends that is pretty nice. On friday afternoon I got a ride with K and his and burger's mutual friend to Missisauga (they were going to a concert in toronto), and I was able to take a bus from there to meet up with the exaggerator and c-dub. The ride was great, but I'm not going to read into anything and start obsessing, just keep cool and not do anything stupid. We went out for dinner at swiss chalet and then went out dancing (with mm as well!). The bar we went to was pretty fun. There was a bit of an older crowd, we were probably some of the youngest there, and to be honest, it was rather refreshing.

On saturday morning we went out for breakfast and c-dub dropped me off at the train station to go home. Apparently via has 50% off tickets when you buy same day tickets on Saturdays - score me! a $9.00 train ticket :) Saturday turned out to be a beautiful day, sunny and about 10C, is winter ever going to get here? EK and I went to the clay and glass gallery and christmas shopping downtown, and I got a bunch of my christmas shopping done which was pretty nice, yay! shopping! (Downpoint number one of the weekend, she found out that one of her family friends passed away on friday night - heart failure). She also came over on Saturday night to watch love actually. I love that movie, so sappy and so cute!

Sunday morning decided to go and run with the running room (hoping for 8 k), and I got up early and was checking blogs, and there was downpoint number 2 of the weekend, I read burger's blog about her GP1 who is uber cute and changed my feelings about those lovable rodents. I hope GP1 gets better and that everything is good!.

The running group ended up doing 10.5 km (ontop of the 1.5 I had to run over there since I was running late), so at 12 km, that is officially the furthest I have run in like 9 months. I'm a little sore today, but not nearly as bad as I was expecting. That is it for now... I know, such a short post ;)

Happy birthday to me!

Yep, the big 2-4 is finally here. a little anti-climatic really. After all, it is just a number!

Erika and I went for a run this morning which marks the 4th year in a row I have gone running on my birthday. Wow, I guess that is 1/6th of my birthdays so far!!! Go me!

Nothing else really to post. I did absolutely nothing last night. well, that is a bit of a lie, I went to the gym after school to do my weights (first time in 3 weeks - oops!) and then I did nothing. If anything exciting or interesting happens, I'll post more later :)

Attack of the refilling toilet...

So I just went to the bathroom, and I go to flush the toilet, and it starts going CRAZY! it was refilling for like 5 minutes and I just ended up leaving it. Burger says it is okay, but it was kind of freaky!!! what a waste of water!

One more day of Youth...

Well, that is what it feels like anyways. Can we just stop time and have me be 23 for ever??? I think one of the reasons why I'm dreading the big 2-4 is because all my life I have though 25 would be the perfect age to get married at. Well, with no real prospects on the horizon, I doubt that will happen. You have to date the guy for a while before getting engaged (well unless you are MR) and then it usually takes around a year to plan a wedding, so it is now official, I'm not going to be married at 25. I think it is something I can live with I guess.

In other news Martin sent out an e-mail last night. The bball social has been changed to next wednesday, so I will be able to partake (apparently JH was also busy on Friday). I feel kind of bad though after talking to burger, I hope this rescheduling won't effect peoples ability to do homework! I always find myself forgetting that other people are taking much harder courses than I am (mind you, I think I am going to be quickly reminded of that next semester when I take a grad course from my supervisor!!!).

Also, I was having a bit of dilema about how I was getting to b-town this weekend. The options were all horrible. I could take the train and get in at 7 am, 10 am or 9 pm (hello, where is the middle of the road?!?) or take the bus (to the sauga, doesn't actually go to b-town), I think the latest I could arrive was 11. Apparently K is going to a concert in T-dot on friday, I asked if I could get a ride and get dropped off along the 401 and he said that was cool, so now all I need to do is get up to the exaggerators from there. Shouldn't be too hard, apparently a bus goes right up that road :)

In other news, I am now addicted to the game Bejewelled... it is on the gamebrew website and I know k-bum really liked it, and I understand why, it is bad news...

Bridget Jones, Allergist and Rant

I went to see BJ2 last night with MK (work MK) and PS. It was v. good. Not as good as the book, but I think they left in all the important stuff. They did add on significantly to Daniel Cleaver, but that was the only way Hugh Grant would agree to do the second movie. I think that they still kept it the way Helen Fielding would approve of. Most of the stuff they left out of the movie was not important to the main plot, so that was good :)

I went to the allergist this morning to try and determine the source of my hives that I had for three weeks in May and June. The tests were inconclusive, so the source is still unknown. I still suspect Lee's Fern plant that was on the dresser, but who knows. I don't think I'll worry about it unless it comes back.

Now for the Rant. For Bball, we get credit at the Grad House since we are 2/3rds grad students. When we got the credit 2 weeks ago MK (basketball MK) sent out an e-mail asking for times when people were available/unavailable. I sent back an e-mail with 3 days after the season that were out of the question, the 25 (bday), and 26th & 27th (since I was going to visit C-dub and Exaggerator, we've had this planned now for 1.5 months). So now, last night, he sends out an e-mail saying this friday is the day, and I can't make it. Grrrrrrr. Luckily the boy can't make it either so the day may be changed. I'm keeping my fingers crossed (if not, I have no clue if I will ever even see him again.) Okay, rant over, it is just kind of annoying that it got scheduled on a day when I had other plans. (And MK said at a game 2 weeks ago not to worry that we would definitely be doing it on a WEEKNIGHT not a weekend.) okay, rant over for real this time, no more complaining from me.

Last post before sunday...

Just getting ready to head out for the weekend, but before we go, we have a basket ball practice... I really don't feel like it today though. I'm still trying to get over this cold and I'm on my period right now, so I feel like a blob. An inactive blob.

So at around 10 am (or hopefully earlier), EK and I will be heading up to O for a short weekend. We'll be going to B-ville late on saturday to get the 9 am bus to KW. I will be visiting Pandora and my Granny, so I am pretty excited... must remember pandoras montreal map!

Have a great weekend everyone, and I'll be back on Sunday :)

Last night... (and amazing race talk... if you haven't watched it yet, I would recommend not reading...)

So last night I didn't do too much. I decided it is definitely time for a hair cut, but my old place is now closed so it is time to find a new hair dresser... new hair dresser depends on one thing only - whether they were open last night when I called at 6:50... I have had pretty much the same hair cut since I grew out my short hair (was only short for one summer) and I had the same hair cut before the short hair, so all this to say, I think I'm going for something different... not too different, but enough that it will actually have style. I'll take a picture tonight and try to post it on the net (if I do in fact go for something new).

I also watched the amazing race last night. It was good, but I don't think it is the same as it used to be. Maybe I am just getting over my reality TV phase, or maybe it is just the ones that I have watched a lot and know better, but does anyone else feel this way? Almost all of the Teams did something that annoyed me. The Father Daughter team, the dad is overbearing... seriously I think he would rather lose the race than drive 5 km over the speed limit. The model team, well, they were just mean (especially to the gym rats). The wrestler's were just insane, the gym people were too explosive... same as the couple trying to reconcile (guy with blue hair). The sisters got on my nerves. The Actors told the queens girls to go the wrong way and almost got them eliminated. The Queens girls believed them without question. The NY jews were great, but they are now gone. I liked the grandparents, but they'll probably be gone next week. I'm missing a team, guess they must not have made much of an impression on me... oh wait, the long distance dating couple... well, they were okay, but there were a few little things that just left a bad impression... can't remember what.

Maybe I should just not watch TV anymore...

Quick b-ball update before class...

Just wanted to post... VK sent me an e-mail late last night apologizing for being a ball hog on Monday night... apparently, it won't happen again next week.

Burger and I are now talking about making our own team next term that is non-competitive... apparently the boys are thinking about making a super competitive team... I say let them... I wonder if they are going to go for the C league (and be a jerky team that just likes winning) or go for the B league where they will play other teams of the same ability (294 and VK used to play in the B league and Burgers Boyf is definitely a b-league quality player...)

Oh well, too much to think about this early in the morning... gotta make a list of questions to ask the smartest person in the world at 9 am... (Dr. S.)

brooding...

The more I think about the basketball game the more angry I get. I feel like people purposely set out for me not to play. Well, maybe not purposefully, but that is how it felt. I mean seriously, if you didn't want someone who didn't know how to play on the team, you should have said so at the get go. Also, how the hell am I ever supposed to get better in game situations if I don't get to play much?

Okay, rant over... just needed to get that off the chest. On a bright note, only 5 hours till the amazing race... I'm going to do my laundry tonight and fold when it is on :)

Basketball Game, Sickness, and Downfall of Birthdays

So if you have read Burgers Blog than you have already heard the drama from last nights game. I got my first basket all season, and a couple of really good rebounds, however, I barely got to play. Probably less than 10 minutes out of 40. Not exactly fair. ditto to what Burger said about paying equal amount as other for 1/3 of the play time (well, one third of what the others are playing). I've noticed it a bit in the past, but last night was a little out of control. in the second half of the game, VK started, had a break and went back on before I got to go on. Not cool. I let them know that I was a little upset by it, but I'm glad that blythe made more of a fuss over it. (And it was upsetting since I was playing the best I have all season, but I didn't get a chance to play more and show everyone that yes, I was improving.)

As for my cold. Almost just a bad memory. still a little congested and have a slightly sore throat, but I'm getting better. Even though I had a crappy sleep. I ended up sleeping in a bit since our game was so late last night. I had a few errands to run this morning (downfall to birthday bit), so I'm still at home now. I'm going to have lunch early and then head to school by shortly after 12.

Downfalls to Birthdays - 1) you have to renew your drivers license, 2) you have to renew your Health Card 3) the office are in hard to reach location and only open on weekdays, 4) they expire in the same year (why??) and 5) you have to take half a day off of work to go renew them. Luckily I'm a grad student and taking off time really isn't an issue, but What about C-dub??? she'll probably have to take off half a day to go and get hers... grrrr... stupid government offices. Oh yeah, and I forgot that you had to pay for your drivers licence so there goes $75 :(

Amazing Race again :) Already!

Move over Survivor, Amazing Race has now supplanted you as the show I HAVE to watch every week :) I agree with C-Dub, survivor is getting very old. I find myself not really paying attention when it is on anymore. I'll finish watching this season, but I don't think I'll watch further seasons.

This morning we had a basketball practice. It was pretty good. We played against a 4-2 team and we held our own. They did better than us, but they certainly didn't dominate the play (and they violated the 3 second rule a lot so that would have been called had there been a ref). We practiced the press a bit before, but we didn't actually practice it while we were playing the other team. I think that is a bit bad since we would have had the perfect opportunity to try it in a non game situation. Burger yelled "press" a few times, but people weren't paying attention. Oh well, hopefully we'll be able to do it properly on Monday at our next game.

So now I'm at school... for another 2.5 hours then I'm going home, having lunch and getting ready to go to toronto. I need to pack my bags and get Jenny all packed up to go to EKs for the weekend.

So that is it for now... don't expect an update before Sunday (unless something major happens!) since my Dad's internet isn't the best.

Thursday, November 11, 2004

Wow, third post in a day... I'm on a role...

Just sent out the birthday email, final list:

Burger and Her Boyf.
EK
QC
J & G
P (from P&J)
JH
PS
ME
VK
K (the boy)
SL

Hmmm... starting to think I should have sent to MK and KW as well... Hmmmmm... I'll think about it a little more...

Lack of Motivation...

KW discovered a cool website that has been my productivity downfall today - http://www.gamebrew.com it has everybody's favorites from the 80s including super mario (which I have been playing all day - I got up to level 3-1 which I think is the highest I have ever gotten. yay me!)

This assignment for GW is still horrible. I've been working on it for two days now and don't seem to have made much progress. KW and Burger have been working on it an additional day. At least it isn't due for a while! I think I am going to put it off until monday and then harass the proff when he comes back to get answers to all of our fun questions.

I didn't end up getting out to the gym at lunch time, I'm going to go after class today instead. Hopefully I'll make it there instead of just pretending to make it. I always feel better after doing my weights.

I think that is it that I have to report.

Laters.

Semi Busy night last night...

well, not busy per say, but I did lots of stuff and didn't get my laundry done :(

at 6:00 I decided it was time to call some people that I needed to talk to. I called to make my hair appointment, got the answering machine (I seriously need a hair cut... I haven't got it cut since convocation back in June), and then I called Travel cuts to give them my ISIC number so that they can print off my train ticket for tomorrow.

Then I called D to find out about saturday, but alas, I got her machine and left a message. So then onto Sister 2. I'm going up to Ottawa in a couple of weeks to visit our grandmother and wanted to know if she wanted to come too (since I haven't seen her in about a month), but she is in report card season, so she was out, but we talked on the phone for about half an hour catching up. As soon as I was off the phone, I called my cousins in Vancouver. I needed to talk to my Aunt but she is in Ireland for another week, so I ended up talking to my cousin for about another half hour. we had a nice chat :) I miss her sometimes (she is 1.5 years younger than me, but we hung out ALL the time when I was living with them... I'd say she is a cool cat).

So later D called me back and we talked on the phone for another 45 minutes or so... by the end of it all my throat was sooooooooo sore! Needless to say when I woke up this morning, I really didn't want to go to the gym, so I didn't. I was sure I would feel 100% better when I woke up today, but no, I don't. I'm still congested, and still have a mildly sore throat. I'm going to take a late lunch today and go to the gym at 1 to do my weights that I was supposed to do this morning. So other than that, not much on the agenda today. I want to finalize my birthday list and get that sent out today since it is two weeks from now :) I'm starting to think maybe I'll just invite burger, EK and QC since I'm closer to them than to anyone else... the next three would be Burger's Boyf and J&G. I guess I'll try to figure it out today.

Sorry for the long and boring post!!!

Birthday List Dilema

I'm having a Bridget Jones moment. I am currently re-reading the first book to get ready for the second movie which is coming out this friday... maybe I'll go see it by myself on friday night...

Anywho, back to the point. I was reading the bit about her birthday the other day where she was trying to make up a guest list and couldn't figure out who to invite. I am having the same difficulty right now. I decided that I wanted to go to the plantation for my birthday to get some cake, and am trying to figure out who should be invited (decided on the plantation since they have all different kinds of cake and everyone would be able to get a kind they like.) Now I just have to finalize the list... do I go for a whole big group or do I keep it small... I hate doing stuff like this...

So far on the list:

Burger and her Boyf
J&G
P (from J&P)
QC (not quality control, however that would be an interesting name)
EK
PS (from my work this summer...)
JH (from class)

I don't want to leave anyone out :( I always hate being left out myself... so with that said, 6 of the 10 people from b-ball are on the list... do I invite the other 4 even though I don't know them as well? and do I invite the other new grad students. I definitely talk to KW (not the town :O) and MK more often than the others, and the 4 other people on my b-ball team, but if I invite them, do I have to invite the other gradstudents I don't consider friends. This is getting to be sticky. Grrrrrrrrrrr...

More friends more blogs...

So two of my old roomies from undergrad (old as in former, not old as in old... mind you the exaggerator is getting on in years... just joking, I love ya!) have just gotten blogs in the last 24 hours. Yipee!!! I have added their links to the sidebar :)

As for new stuff.... there is nothing really. I've been at school today (my throat is feeling significantly better) working on a stupid assignment for my groundwater class. And by stupid, I do in fact mean stupid. He gave us this file that we have to revise without explaining where or what any of the information is (and it isn't a nice file... it is oldschool dos format :(). So now I have to figure out what values the ????.? is looking for and what they are supposed to represent. How fun does that sound?!?!? Oh well, I figure I'll spend the afternoon working on it and if I can't figure it out I will talk to the Prof when he comes back next week.

Burger and her Boyf are going to take me to Toronto on Friday so that means I only have to pay for a ticket to b-ville. It is very nice and very convenient and I'll be in B-ville by shortly after 7 on friday. I'll have to talk to D and hopefully she will be done work around then and able to drive me out to my home, otherwise I'll have to cab it. (did my mention that my dad is in africa now for another 2 weeks or so? I can't remember if I posted that last week... I hope he is having a great visit!!!)

Nothing else new or exciting that I can think of so I'm going to finish off this post before I start rambling on and on. and on and on. and on and on... 15 days to my b-day!

Finally Throat feeling better :)

I had a bit of a nap this morning and finally my throat is starting to feel a little better. I'm going to stay at home the rest of the day though, there really isn't any point in going to school at 2 pm... especially when I don't have class today. I'll just continue to read at home (and not infect everyone else!!!)

The Beastie Boys were really awesome last night. The first pre show were trick dogs. Nope, it isn't a band, seriously it was a dog show. I thought it was pretty cute, and typical of the Beasties Boys. Don't know of any other band that would have that. They played a good mix of the old stuff and the new stuff. When they were done they still hadn't played three of my favorites (Girls, Intergalactic Planetary, and Sabatoge). They play IP in their first encore, but I was paranoid of missing my bus so I left before the second encore. I probably could have stayed and still made my bus, but I wanted to be on the safe side. Half the people on the bus ride back to KW were at the concert and some people had stayed for the second encore. Apparently it was Sabotage done really crazy. Oh well, I'll have to live with my decision I guess.

When I got home I couldn't fall asleep! WTF!!!??? I never have trouble falling asleep, why does it happen to me at 2 am in the morning when I have a cold and I am soooo tired!?! I finally ended up asleep at aroudn 2:30, but Jenny woke me up attacking my feet shortly before 6. 3.5 hours of uninterrupted sleep doesn't bode well on an already sore throat. (For what it is worth, this is the FIRST time Jenny has woken me up on purpose... I wonder if she did it on purpose).

So I stayed at home this morning to nurse my throat back to health and to try and not infect other people. I'm still pretty sleepy, hopefully I'll be feeling a lot better tomorrow... I hate how often I get sick!!!

As for the K thing, I'm still thinking about it. I was talking to C-dub about it last night and I came to the conclusion that I actually don't have any "moves". Any suggestions?

The Sore Throat Blues

I stayed at home this morning. Partially due to a sore throat and partially to keep my kitty company. I'm going to see the Beastie Boys tonight in T-dot with C-dub so I figured she wouldn't like spending all that time alone. Another 6 or so hours would have been harder. I hope my throat is feeling better soon! it is the flu shot clinic at school this week and you aren't supposed to get it if you are feeling sick, but I really think I should get it. (I had the flu last year right before finals, it was horrible!!!)

I've thought more about the K situation (see comments on last post), and I really don't know what I would say or do. EW sent me a link last night that was making me think it would be better not to. It was a book (self-help book kind of, but not really). They had the first chapter of it online... the general gist is if he were interested he would make the first move. So what if K just isn't that interested, my saying something won't accomplish anything! I just don't know.

Oh well, I guess I'll have to think about this some more. I just don't know what to do.

Go Team!

We actually one a half in Basketball this week! We were down by 14 after the first half of the game this week, but by the end of the game we were only down by 6. I think it was the best playing we did all season. We were getting all the rebounds, moving the ball around lots and still being quick. Go us!!! too bad we don't get any league points for that. We actually played really well, and were very polite, so we should at least get a 4 for SOC this week.

Keely also came down this weekend. It was great seeing her again. I can't beleive the last time I saw her was back in August, it certainly doesn't seem like it was that long! Keely, Erika, Nicole and I went out to the Huether for a drink on Friday. Not a late night, I was sooooo sleepy (even after sleeping for like 1.5 hours in the afternoon). Saturday we did the AHS fun run (all finished under 30 minutes!) and then went to the "class reunion" in the afternoon. Can you still call it a class reunion when only 20 people out of 800 show up? We went to the bomber on Saturday night. It was okay, but I wasn't really in the mood to go out. Would have been a lot better if we had known more people there.

So now to the dilema. I have been saying for a few weeks now that I would do something about the K situation after b-ball was over. (no need to make an awkward situation when I don't need too!). So now the regular season is over. it is weird, I don't know when I will see him next so everything has changed. I don't know what to do. Do I just let it go and think, "if he is interested, he'll make the first move" or do I say screw tradition, I'll make the first move... I don't know whether he even slightly feels the same way. I am totally not good at reading into these things. I don't know what to do :(

cool blog I came across...

www.dearmrbush.blogspot.com He seems to be really well spoken.

I didn't do too much last night. Some baking and my laundry. Very domesticated night. I also watched survivor. I was glad that the women seemed to act with a brain for once and got rid of Rory. I was dissappointed though that they didn't spin it differently with the guys. Had they suggested they vote off Rory and said the other girls would go along, the Lopevi (sp?) tribe would have more people and they could have bluffed out the guys for another week.

I think I am going to go home early today. Have a little nap then go grocery shopping before Keely comes for the weekend (yay!). I'm bringing home a stack of stuff to read this weekend, hopefully I actually get some work done this weekend, I feel WAY behind in my research, it seems to have taken the backseat for almost a month.

That is it, Have a great Weekend!!!

Funny Link...

I heard them talking about this on Canada Am.

www.marryanamerican.ca It is about taking pitty on left leaning americans and marrying them so that they can move to canada. Kind of amusing. I especially like the "aboot" section :)

My secret pleasure...

Okay, now I'm really embarrased to admit this, but here goes.

I like watching "America's Next Top Model". I like the fashion side of things, and the girls are so bitchy, it is kind of soap opera-ish (think survivor, Jerry style).

So last night I was watching it. This is the first season where one of the girls is a "plus-size" model. And by plus size she is no bigger than me (except in the chest). She is very pretty and has a great personality (and is probably the only one on the show without the slightest bit of an eating disorder). She has the goal of becoming the first black plus sized super model. I say all the power to her, and she has what it takes. So there is this one bitch of a judge, during one of the first episodes she said, I quote "I can really see you being the first plus sized americas next top model". Ever since then she has been bitching and complaining about how there is no room for plus sized models in high fashion and how she needs to lose 150 pounds. hello????? she is a) tall, b) only a size 12 or 14, and c) if she lost 150 pounds she would only weight 30 lbs. Tyra banks (host) stood up to her and pretty much called her out. It was nice to see tyra not being obsessed with size. Tocarra (plus sized girl) didn't leave last night, but I have a feeling she will be gone soon. It is a shame. Janis what-ever-her-last-name-is is a complete biotch and should not be in a role where she could be influencing young girls thoughts. She would have rather kept around the bulimic girl that left last night.

Grrrrrr...

Okay, so my rant is over. Didn't do too much last night, I read some and watched Americas next top model and went to bed early. Today at lunch I'm meeting Mary and Paula at the mongolian grill. It should be nice to chat with them and catch up a bit!

Later chicks.

All I can say is...

:(

I was so hoping Kerry would win. Went home at lunch time and saw on the TV that he had called Bush to concede victory. 4 more years.

In other news Jenny has discovered Cat Nip, not sure yet whether this is a good thing or a bad thing. I'll let you know tomorrow if I sleep at all tonight!

First official Blogger entry

So I decided to make the switch. I like the format better and there is a lot more you can do with your blog, a lot more options about appearance and stuff. I'm turning into a computer nerd... or was I one before?

Last night I got Tuna for Jenny, she absolutely loved it, so I am happy to report that she is now eating, and has been gorging herself all last night and into the morning on food.

You know how in cartoons when people are asleep and they suddenly remember something and they sit bolt upright. that happened to be at 5:18 am today when I remembered somehow in my dream that I forgot to pay my rent yesterday. oops!!! I hate having to remember these things! I didn't really get all the way back asleep before my alarm clock went off at 6:00. I went running with erika, but before we left I put an envelope with my rent check into the mailbox for the business office. I'll plead ignorance and say that I put it there late yesterday afternoon. Next time I'll be on top of it!!! So running this morning was horrible. I was sooooooooo tired! my legs felt like lead. I really don't understand why; maybe I'm getting sick? I hope not! So a few hours later, I'm sitting at the computer at school drinking my caffinated tea to keep myself up and procrastinating on this stupid geopack assignment. At least I have the programs figured out now, so hopefully it won't take so long.

Election night tonight! I HOPE Kerry wins. I think it will be better for the world, if not better for the Canadian economy.
