Arash and I have had our offer on a house accepted.
the MLS number is 56-776. We looked at probably ~ 20 houses and this one was the best all round. there were ones with a nicer backyard (there were two with absolutely beautiful back yards) and there were ones that we loved the interior for (but had tiny itty bitty back yards where you could see into the neighbours windows. This one had a nice back yard and a nice interior.
And the garage has rafters to store my future canoe ;)

August 15th eh, that's perfect timing! Congrats, this is great news!!!!
B - I'm sure we can work something out :) we likely won't move until the end of the month and use the 2 weeks to do work - paint etc.
C - Nothing else to say as of yet. We had a big long talk about it last week and it is likely coming at some point, but no, not yet.

Very nice house! How old is it (the listing doesn't say)? That is a very exciting move... congrats!
Out of curiosity... how long have you and Arash been together now (I tend to lose track of time)?
N - House is 40-50 years old. We don't know the exact age. old enough to have mature trees around the house, but not old enough to have old house problems (insulation, plumbing, electrical, etc).
We have been together for 1.5 years (as of last sunday!) Seems like yesterday and forever ago all at the same time :)
BTW Niki, I realized a while ago that I forgot to wish you happy birthday. Well, happy belated birthday despite is being pitifully late (like 1.5 months ;))
CONGRATS LJ!!! Buying your first place is so exciting and yet stressful at the same time. :)
It's all worth it in the end though.
And I guess a pre-congrats to you and Arash. This is a big step! :D

Oooo....that's a huge announcement! congrats! I just checked out the listing. It looks huge and very adult like. Very good choice! I definitely approve. The big backyard looks like you'll have lots of room for bbqs.
