Thought you guys outside of waterloo might be interested (and saddened) to read this. I don't know if any of you knew him, I can't claim that I did, but I certainly knew of him through engsoc type stuff and through the TA I had this summer (I was TA-ing the Enviros only). So sad, so horrible.

That is shocking and very sad news. One of my work terms was up near Points North Landing... I emailed Lisa to find out how to contribute to the memorial fund.
Did you know who he was? I thought that you might with sharing of the geo room. When you find out let me know - or if you are having trouble hearing back, I can go down and talk to her.
I'm guessing that she might be swamped with emails. If you have time to go ask her, that would be great.
I think I had met him, as he looks very familliar, but I didn't know him. It's still extremely sad.
